Camouflaj is a global game studio with over seventy employees and offices in Bellevue, WA and Kamakura, Japan.

The company was founded in 2011 by Ryan Payton. Its original franchise, RÉPUBLIQUE, has been released on over ten platforms including PC, Switch, iOS and Meta Quest. In 2020, the company released MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR for PlayStation VR which won five “Best PSVR Game” awards and was nominated for “Best VR Game” at the Game Awards. The company is now hard at work on its next VR title.

  • May 2012 – République raised $555,000 on Kickstarter
  • December 2013 – République: Episode 1: Exordium released on iOS
  • April 2014 – République: Episode 2: Metamorphosis released
  • October 2014 – République: Episode 3: Ones & Zeroes released, Android support added
  • March 2015 – République Remastered released on PC and Mac
  • June 2015 – Shinra partnership announced
  • December 2015 – République: Episode 4: God’s Acre released
  • March 2016 – République: Episode 5: Terminus released
  • September 2017 – MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR development start
  • May 2018 – République VR released
  • March 2019 – MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR announced
  • July 2020 – MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR released on PlayStation VR
  • July 2020 – Development begins on unannounced VR game
  • May 2021 – Camouflaj Holdings established in Japan
  • January 2022 – With partner Endeavor One, begin work to bring MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR to Meta Quest 2
  • Summer 2022 – Camouflaj joins Meta as its newest member of Oculus Studios
  • November 2022 – MARVEL'S IRON MAN VR released on Meta Quest 2
