Senior IT Engineer

Camouflaj, the award-winning studio behind RÉPUBLIQUE and MARVEL’S IRON MAN VR, is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our team. The Senior IT Engineer will work closely with studio operations teams to ensure our technology infrastructure supports our development efforts and business needs. The Senior IT Engineer will  drive our IT efforts by delivering forward-thinking solutions for the organization, including planning, contributing to technology initiatives, and evaluating, deploying, and managing current and future technology systems across the studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Establish deployment priorities, and coordinate and manage current and future technology systems across the organization
  • Be a driving member of an engaged and motivated team whose focus is on providing proactive customer service and seamless support
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with other studio teams to learn and assess their needs, and offer proactive solutions to those needs
  • Ensure the team delivers to the highest standards and maintains a reputation for high-quality service and reliability
  • Keep current with industry trends and issues, including emerging technologies, procurement sources and asset availability, risk assessment, and cost-benefits
  • Provide proactive recommendations in support of the company’s needs, ensuring longevity and continuity of technology service
  • Work with vendors to support ready access to necessary resources
  • Adequately protect and effectively manage risks for all data and technology infrastructure in the Technology group
  • Troubleshoot issues across all infrastructure systems, including identification, analysis, proposing and implementing solutions, and monitoring and follow-up to ensure the issues have been resolved
  • Propose, follow, and improve upon standard operating procedures (SOP) to improve the teams’ knowledge management
  • Provide on-site support and be on-call when needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT or IS role

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  • Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Strong familiarity with MacOS and Linux
  • Capability to diagnosis and fix issues with PC hardware including, but not limited to, motherboards, audio, video, memory, data storage, and networking

BONUS POINTS

  • Passion for VR
  • Strong familiarity with Perforce and Unity
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience providing IT for a game studio or within the game industry
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and building vendor relationships
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud management
  • 3+ years providing world-wide remote support to a distributed workforce

 

Candidates must be able to work on-site from our Bellevue, WA office.
